If you’re into your moons, you’ll know November is big for semi-aquatic animals … and now Omega x Swatch releases. Here’s what you need to know.
There’s nothing like a shock Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch launch to stoke up the horological hype on a Monday morning. It’s not a complete surprise, given Swatch and Omega like to release these watches in line with the moon cycle, but it’s always hard to predict exactly what’s dropping and when. And covering the news turns watch journalists into celestial supersleuths, marking their calendars with each new moon.
The latest release sees the full moon series welcoming its fourth edition with the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission To Earthphase Moonshine gold. It’s drawing inspiration from the Beaver Moon, which is the time of year when Beavers are most active as they prepare for the winter months ahead, stocking up on food and building dams.

So what does the fourth Moonshine Gold MoonSwatch model look like? Like previous releases, you’re getting a nice, solid navy case and rubber strap with a Bioceramic loop, as well as a white opaline dial with uber-visible hour markers thanks to some handy Grade A Super-LumiNova.
Also returning on this model is a mega earth phase, which shows the earth as it appears from the moon alongside an illustration of Snoopy and Woodstock. And the seconds hand is made from Omega’s luxurious Moonshine gold (an 18K gold alloy developed in 2019). It’s not all the same as other releases, though. Fittingly, this model’s moon phase indicator and you’ll see a full moon that looks like it has been nibbled by a lunar-loving beaver.

If, like our moon-gnawing friend, you’re hungry for this release, it won’t be easy. The Mission To Earthphase Moonshine Gold will only be available for a limited time, from the start of the Beaver Moon on November 5 until the new moon on November 20 2025. It will be available exclusively through Swatch stores carrying the line for £335.
For some, taking the MoonSwatch hype any higher seemed impossible (the collaboration first launched in 2022). But the MoonSwatch Moonshine gold series might be a reason to reconsider. With monthly Moonshine releases since August getting MoonSwatch loyalists gassed, with subtle features aligning with that month’s full moon, it’s enough of a difference to keep the frenzy firing on all cylinders and watch journalists checking the lunar calendar for the foreseeable.
