Brunello Cucinelli’s Mediterranea collection turns up the heat

Summer calls for a more easy-going wardrobe, which can be tricky when you’ve got less to play with layers-wise. Brunello Cucinelli’s Mediterranea collection reads like a lesson in solving this very problem. Packing in warm weather winners like unlined jackets, knits, shorts, trousers, linen shirts, suits, and shell-coloured tuxedos, there’s few occasions where these pieces won’t work. Yes, temperatures are on the rise, but a pared-back palette and considered fabrics means you won’t need to sweat it. Shop the collection here

Jacques Marie Mage arrives in Harrods

As one of the world’s most renowned department stores, Harrods will always have pedigree as one of the holy grail retail outposts. Jacques Marie Mage has got a spot at the luxury Knightsbridge location for the summer, with an installation that takes inspiration from Chiltern London Gallery’s jewel box-like intricacy and intimacy. The brand also reintroduces the work of Los Angeles-based artist Andy Dixon as the centrepiece of the space with his reinterpretation of wealth, status and portraiture through a modern lens. Check out the mini-gallery at Harrods in London now.

Jung Kook brings biker attitude to Calvin Klein

Ever since K-pop group BTS went on hiatus in 2022, all the members decided to complete their mandatory military service and pursue solo careers. In that time, Jung Kook released a blockbuster album and grew his international audience as a solo act, leaning into a more punk-influenced visual aesthetic in the meantime. His debut fashion collection with Calvin Klein follows those same sentiments with distressed and faded denim sets, a blouson-style leather racer jacket, co-branded logo tops and racer stripes detailing. There’s also a range of underwear for men and women in Dark Denim, Peat and Lily colourways. Check out the new collection, available online and in-store now.

Ronnie Fieg re-introduces the Clarks Originals Ridgevale

After Ronnie Fieg teased the re-release of an Adidas Argentina 2006 jersey and, now, bringing back Clarks Originals’ forgotten Ridgevale silhouette, it seems the New York designer is feeling nostalgic. Being the footwear brand’s reinterpretation of a fisherman sandal, we get the signature Clarks crepe sole and a lux Kennet grain leather – with the exception of the suede pair that arrives in a Chestnut. The other colourways range from Dark Green and Navy to Black and Coffee, rounded off with co-branded lace fobs and footbeds. Check out the collection online and in-store now.

Kiko Kostadinov and Asics Novalis want your feet to breathe

With the weather heating up at a pace (hello, bank holiday heatwave), it might be time to switch those heavy winter boots out for something breathable. And it doesn’t get much more breezy than Kiko Kostadinov and Asics Novalis’ latest Gel-Teremoa II, featuring a technical mesh beneath a highly perforated shell, referencing vintage lifting shoes. This new model takes inspiration from archival Asics silhouettes like the GEL-Speedster and GEL-TEREMOA and arrives in two colourways: Mosstone/Deep Forest and Dark Gull Grey/Black. Check these out now, available to shop in-store and online.

Palace Skateboards lands in Shanghai

Having opened numerous outposts in Japan and South Korea, Palace Skateboards’ last stop on its East Asia tour was mainland China, bringing a new flagship store to the Jing’an District in Shanghai. The space itself takes inspiration from classic Chinese gardens and blends those design references with Palace’s distinct visual identity. To mark the occasion, we’re also getting an exclusive capsule that features the graphic “Shang Hi” on a range of tees, caps, hoodies and skate decks. There will also be a collaboration with Lai Lai Xiao Long, a local dumpling shop just some doors down from the store to celebrate the local community. If you’re ever in Shanghai, make sure to check it out – more info here.

Stone Island and New Balance goes off-pitch

Stone Island and New Balance’s longstanding partnership has always been football fan-approved. From exclusive collaborations on the sportswear brand’s football boots to one-off kits, the marriage between the two labels has always been seamless, considering their respective standings in the beautiful game. This collection sees classic warm-up gear – a ripstop track jacket, an outerwear jacket and a drill top – get Stone Island-ified with technically advanced fabrication, including a glossy nylon treatment that gives it a liquid-esque look. Two pairs of the New Balance Abzorb 1890s are also included and arrive in two colourways, as well as jersey and shorts combos developed in an engineered jacquard fabric. Releasing on 4th June, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the drop that’ll be available online and in-store.

Thames MMXX sets up shop in Soho

Thames is the brainchild of skateboarder and designer Blondey McCoy. If you’re familiar with the guy, then you’ll know he’s got an eye for the eclectic. Thames’ product offering spans items you might find hung from painted pub ceilings to skate hardwear, fine jewellery and collaborations with the likes of Gilbert & George and the Pet Shop Boys. Now, after operating with an appointment-only system for in-person shopping at its Soho studio, the brand is setting up seconds down the road at 53 Brewer Street from Friday.
