What’s Good This Week: Nike x Kith revive the Linens, Louis Vuitton presents the World Cup trophy and more

Words by

Jotaro Joden

These are the menswear happenings to have on your radar, including Kiko Kostadinov and Ryan Trecartin’s last instalment, Jacquemus and Timberland’s second collaboration and Sacai x A.P.C. craftsmanship-led collection.

Kiko Kostadinov team and Ryan Trecartin reunite for the final act

For the third and final instalment of Kiko Kostadinov and Ryan Trecartin’s episodic bodies of work for the collaborative Asics Ilargi FF II, the American artist provides his unique, abstract take on commercials as a genre. Shot in Okinawa, Japan, he plays with the permissions of the medium itself, whilst also avoiding its usual confinements to close out the trilogy that showed off the release of each new tabi runner by the Bulgarian designer and the Japanese footwear brand. The sneakers themselves are a Japan-ified everyday runner, with the signature split toe design along with a striped mesh upper and an all-day comfort EVA midsole. Check out them out now, available online and in-store.

Louis Vuitton presents the FIFA World Cup 2026 trophy trunk

Unfortunately, the sporting tournament that truly united each nation and, in some cases, the world, is coming to its fateful end this Sunday. The script for the final couldn’t be any better though, with Lamine Yamal facing off against his FC Barcelona predecessor and all-timer Lionel Messi as Spain plays Argentina in New Jersey. Presenting the coveted prize will be Louis Vuitton, the Official Supplier and Branded Licensee of the FIFA World Cup 2026, in a bespoke Trophy Trunk. Crafted by the luxury house’s artisans, the case used to transport and showcase the cup is rightfully covered in the Louis Vuitton monogram with the two front panels making up a “V”, alluding to both “Victory” and “Vuitton”. The exterior is finished off with leather trims (known as lozines), gold-plated brass corners, a lock and clasps. Watch out for it at the FIFA World Cup 2026 final this Sunday.

Jacquemus and Timberland go turquoise

Last year, we got the banana-yellow 3-Eye Lug Boat shoe by Jacquemus and Timberland, yet, this time around, we take a dip into the ocean for the latest turquoise colourway. Featuring a cow leather upper, we get the elevated details by the French designer in the form of Rond Carré metal lace tips and holes, contrasting orange stitching on the heel and a premium, hand-sewn construction. Check them out now, available online and in-store.

Sacai and A.P.C. are back for thirds

Following more denim-focused collaborations in the past, Sacai and A.P.C. are back to complete the trilogy with craftsmanship at the forefront, particularly with artful textiles. They enlisted the help of coveted designer Jessica Ogden, a long-time collaborator of the French label, to apply her signature hand-crafted aesthetic on scanned patchwork quilts from the A.P.C. archives. The result is these prints on a handful of Sacai pieces, including a t-shirt, blouson, knit pullover and cargo bottoms. Check out the collection now, available online and in-store now.

Kith and Nike revive the Linens

The Nike Air Force 1 Linens. Initially released for the Japanese market back in 2001, they were later adopted and dearly loved by the American hip-hop scene, being worn by Fat Joe and Jadakiss. But no one loves the colourway more than Ronnie Fieg who brought it back in 2016 for the Kith Miami store opening and now for the Linen collection on both the original Air Force 1 and the Air Max 95. So if you’re feeling nostalgic or just love the beige and pink colour combo, these might be one to have on your radar. Mark your calendars for 20th July.

Sun’s out, CHIMI’s out

The Stockholm-based eyewear brand set its eyes on the prize, but not without forgetting premiere protection first. Featuring in its Resort 26 collection is a series of subtle colour-tinted shades in varying shapes — think classic aviators to funky ovals and timeless navigators.

Sam Salter fronts CDLP’s new Grey Melange collection

British dancer, performer, and model Sam Salter strips down to Grey Melange boxer briefs, a ribbed tank top and socks for a moment as familiar as laundry day, starring in CDLP’s campaign for its new Grey Melange range from the signature Essentials Collection. An iconic shade in the history of underwear, Grey Melange has been reimagined in CDLP’s signature TENCEL™ Lyocell fabric, a material that took years of development to perfect.
