These are the menswear happenings to have on your radar, including JJJJound’s New Balance 475, Supreme going all-American, and _J.L-A.L_ and Puma’s link-up.
The JJJJound x New Balance 475 has a release date
When JJJJound and New Balance get together, quiet sneaker bangers are guaranteed. Like with the latest JJJJound x New Balance 475. The OG was introduced in the ’80s as a high-mileage runner. So this collaboration’s zesty yellow colourway feels like a nice tribute to its roots (although there’s a black and white iteration in there too, for the colourblocking purists among us). It’s crafted from a mix of suede and mesh, ideal for the warmer weather ahead. And although these retro runners were originally for clocking up the miles, you’re much more likely to find them on natural wine bros in cool parts of town, which is fitting given the campaign is shot in a bar. If you like what you see, they’re dropping on April 9, likely exclusive to JJJJound.
Matthew M Williams is Oakley’s new Creative Director
Big news! Matthew M Williams has been appointed as Oakley’s new creative director of apparel, footwear, and accessories. The designer, who co-founded 1017 ALYX 9SM in 2015, will head up the role, alongside the brand’s Chief Visionary Officer (which might just be one of craziest titles out there) Travis Scott. With Williams at the helm, we can expect a big push on performance fabrics and material innovation, particularly in the brand’s lifestyle categories. Keep your eyes peeled.
_J.L-A.L_ and Puma link up with the Cell Geo
Jean-Luc Ambridge Lavelle’s _J.L-A.L_ treats clothing like sculpture, examining and playing with garments while maintaining a high level of technicality. The Puma Cell Geo, is a ’90s runner that looks like something you’d wear to a techno party in space. The two compliment each other quite well. And they came together at _J.L-A.L_’s Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show, with the sight of worn leather Puma Cell sneakers quietly getting sneakerheads excited ahead of time. Anyway, now they’ve landed in black and brown leather colourways, perfect if you’re looking for something you can wear to the rave and a fancy-dinner. Available here.
Supreme take us back to 2006
Supreme has enjoyed a pretty stellar 2026 so far, with last week’s MM6 Maison Margiela collection earning my approval as the best collaboration of the year (thus far). They’re back swinging this week, taking us two decades back with a campaign featuring Juelz Santana on an all-over American flag workwear set. We get a Flag Quilted Hooded Work Jacket along with the Flag Double Knee Painter pant, marking around 20 years since we got the rapper front and centre in the skate brand’s campaigns. Check out the new drop along with other items, available online and in-store now.
Johnstons of Elgin’s perfect transitional knitwear
With the unpredictable UK weather that somehow gives you sun-shining shorts weather sandwiched between puddling, rainy days, you’ll need some wardrobe workhorses that can flex between both these seasons. Johnstons of Elgin’s could very well be your answer, offering the perfect range of cashmere knitwear, overshirts and accessories to include into your everyday rotation. From a lovely cashmere hoodie to cover you from spitting droplets to a splendid argyle jumper for a bit of old-school fun, there’s something for everyone. Check out the new range online now.
Hartcopy and adidas Originals drop everyday wear greatness
It’s safe to say that Hartcopy’s recent adidas Originals collaborations have been received very well (with very speedy sell-out times as receipts), and this latest chapter with two fresh colourways of the BW Army Trainer is a testament to that. Arriving in black and grey, we get the signature gum soles along with tonal uppers and the emblematic “Typo” red zigzag stitch on the lateral side of the upper. They’re one of those trainers that go with anything you throw it at, from blue jeans to shorts to suits – if you’re down. Check them out online and in-store now.
Lacoste and New Era are off to the green
Lacoste and New Era, although they stand at different sides of the style pendulum, somehow still work. The latest collection is proof, meeting in the middle with a golf-infused capsule. At the core of the link-up is New Era’s universally-loved 9TWENTY and 9FORTY models with your pick of soft or structured crowns for style and comfort. With a cotton twill construction for a lightweight and moldable feel, we see Lacoste’s crocodile make an appearance on the side of the cap as well as the front alongside collection-exclusive patches also plastered. Break a sweat at the links or go for a stroll in the city, they’ll be great anywhere. Check out the collaboration online and in-store now.
