2025 was a year packed with standout sartorial moments, with stylists and personal taste truly put to the test. These are Man About Town’s highlights.
It seems that every year, menswear collectively becomes more refined, more outrageous (thanks, Timothée) and, frankly, better. Whether you’re inclined to “Dream Big” and dress like you’re midway through a Marty Supreme press tour, make a convincing case for Chanel as a unisex proposition, or dress suiting down with sunnies and a cap, there’s been something for anyone and everyone to enjoy.
To round off the year, Man About Town looks back at the menswear fits that truly made it rain, courtesy of some of the best-dressed men on the planet. So sit back and take in this meticulously curated list – and maybe take a few notes. There are some very real style lessons worth stealing.
Jacob Elordi

The OG internet boyfriend, king of streetwear nonchalance and Bottega Veneta’s poster boy, you’d be hard-pressed to find a fit that doesn’t work on the Australian actor. Whether he’s Cannes-ready in a crisp white suit and his signature Jacques Marie Mage shades, or strolling around New York in vintage Celine and The Row loafers, Elordi reigns supreme as one of menswear’s most reliable heavy-hitters.
Paul Mescal

Since his Normal People breakthrough, Paul Mescal has quietly assumed the role of soft-boy standard-bearer. While his summer wardrobe tends to dominate headlines – courtesy of abbreviated shorts hems paired with rugby-honed thighs – winter sees him return to his boy-next-door sartorial roots, albeit never without a twist. Mescal rarely plays it straight: there’s almost always a subversive flourish at work, from gently flared bootcuts and leather blazers on the red carpet to a cravatted collar during his Hamnet press run, nodding to a distinctly Shakespearean romanticism. With his Beatles era now approaching, anticipation is firmly set on what comes next.
Colman Domingo

There’s no end-of-year best-of in menswear without Colman Domingo. While other leading men coast on charm and competent tailoring, Domingo goes several steps further, cementing his status as a bona fide couture force. He stretches the boundaries of menswear with ease, consistently reworking what it means to be a well-dressed man today. Thank you for never leaving us with a dull red-carpet moment, Mr Domingo.
Timothée Chalamet

Speaking of no dull moments… the man, the legend, the Esdee Kid co-signed rapper and Marty Supreme preacher: Timothée Chalamet. His wardrobe this year reads like a masterclass in too-many-to-count fashion attics. From Chrome Hearts and Bottega to Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann, gorp-core-y merch or Givenchy by Sarah Burton, Chalamet was Dylan and Supreme in 2025, delivering a press run that was as stellar as it was marmite. We might not be ready to step out in full orange or butter-yellow leather, but admit it – no one’s doing main character energy quite like Timmy Tim.
A$AP Rocky

A$AP Rocky is a perennial fixture on best-dressed men lists. This year, the style behemoth soaked up French savoir-faire, following his appointment as Chanel’s latest ambassador under new creative director Matthieu Blazy. Rocky has long been a mastermind at blending menswear and womenswear, but this role was perhaps the cherry on top, settling a decade-long debate around the House of Chanel — they don’t need a dedicated line to prove they can dress men impeccably. Bonus points to both Rocky and Blazy.
Alexander Skarsgård

In a world of tired fashion choices, Swedish star Alexander Skarsgård stands out as a man having a blast with his wardrobe. This year, stepping into his leather-clad, biker-BDSM role in Pillion, he fully embraced kinky method dressing, teaming up with stylist Harry Lambert to deliver one standout moment after another. There were the Saint Laurent boots at Cannes, that jaw-dropping Ludovic de Saint Sernin backless halter with leather trousers at the BFI, and, for a casual West Village stroll, his “Dream Girl” sweatshirt. Rebellious, a little careless, utterly sexy — and above all, fun. Here’s to more of that in ’26.
Jeremy Allen White

A skin-tight, low-scoop-neck tank. A carefully curated selection of elevated flannels. Leather jackets in every silhouette: a longer, shoulder-padded blazer, a distressed bomber, a very cropped, very tiny biker shape. And some clingy Levis: the formula of a Bruce Springsteen wardrobe, reimagined by Jeremy Allen White in 2025 for the press run of Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere. Bolo ties hit the red carpet, paired with cowboy boots and the occasional sharp tailoring — after all, he’s a Hollywood star — but the shirt stays open three buttons, just for good measure.
Kendrick Lamar

Other men on this list might have needed a year-long commitment to great fashion to make the cut — Kendrick Lamar only needed 13 minutes. As the star of Apple Music’s 2025 Super Bowl Halftime show, the American rapper and his bootcut Celine jeans made history. Online debate aside, it was a refreshing reminder that menswear denim silhouettes are more than just everyone’s beloved straight leg. Though, to be fair, those are pretty great too.
Harry Styles

Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz might be serving some of the best couples’ looks of the year, strolling through London, Berlin, and Rome and racking up steps in style. But as much as we adore Kravitz – and wish the best for the new couple – it’s undeniable that Styles has a relationship that might just be his longest yet: his The Row blue chore jacket. Call it a slow-fashion approach, a deep devotion to the piece, or a commitment to his colour palette… we’d love to see him experiment more with his surely packed wardrobe, but no one can deny this is an outstanding piece of menswear.
Bad Bunny

When it comes to style, Puerto Rico’s very own is a jack of all trades. Bad Bunny can easily pull off a laid-back, streetwear-inspired outfit just as well as he can a casual tailoring moment with boxy proportions and his signature sunglasses and hat combo to show us that suiting can also be chill.
Raf Simons

Despite his pioneering design language of high fashion with streetwear and youth culture, Raf Simons’ personal style is a masterclass in subtle proportions and top tier colour blocking. His outfits are never the loudest in the room but always the one your eyes end up wandering to – and not just because he’s Raf Simons.
G-Dragon

Via Getty Images
The godfather of fashion in K-Pop, G-Dragon has always been ahead of the curve, introducing genderless style and a blend of high and low end to men in Asia. From Hedi Slimane-fueled looks to Chanel womenswear ensembles, the K-pop legend is best-dressed everywhere he goes.
Pedro Pascal

Via Getty Images
A connoisseur of graphic tees and widely known as the “internet’s daddy”, Pedro Pascal playful style never fails. He’s one of few men that look just as good in a t-shirt and cap as he does with shorts and a suit – and while his screen-melting smile is a delight, it’s his unwavering, outspoken commitment to activism that makes him even more admired.
Willy Chavarria

Willy Chavarria has quickly become one of fashion’s cult heroes. His boxy, angular tailoring is the epitome of drama and the man never plays it safe. Through bold colours and killer accessories, the designer really brings the excitement back to fashion.
Yung Lean

Executing Yung Lean’s anti-fashion style is no easy feat. It’s one that comes from a certain level of nonchalance and years of cultivating a high level of taste that allows you to mix and match styles and aesthetics in a way that seamlessly feeds your personal style. We never know what the rapper will wear next but one thing we can be sure of is: it’ll be a banger.
Riz Ahmed

What makes Riz Ahmed’s style so good is how daring he is. Sure, he can pull off a killer suit just as well as the next guy but the British actor can go a step further, in any direction. Whether it’s a tobacco-coloured Prada leather jacket or a furry Alexander McQueen bomber, he can do it all and, and, most importantly, he looks effortlessly at ease while doing it.
Lakeith Stanfield

Lakeith Stanfield is the very definition of a modern dandy. His elegance is unmatched, with a keen eye for what’s new and fun. He plays around with proportions, never skimps out on the accessories and makes sure his deep understanding of fitment does the loud talking.
