At the holy grail red carpet, the stars did menswear justice.

Here we are, folks: the Met Gala 2026. Fashion’s annual big one, held to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, has landed. This year’s exhibition, titled “Costume Art”, curated by Andrew Bolton, pairs 200 garments and accessories with 200 artworks from the museum’s collection. Those works that are focused on the dressed body are organised under three categories: those in art, like the classical and nude body; those overlooked in art, such as a pregnant and ageing body; and those universal in art, like anatomical bodies.

The corresponding dress code, “Fashion Is Art”, means that guests were invited to treat their bodies like a canvas and is, compared to some other years, very much up to interpretation. Although those parameters might seem a little bit more restrictive in the menswear space, this is fashion’s biggest night of the year and the industry’s very best have brought their creative A-game to the table.
