Kiko Kostadinov does breezy Asics mules, Prada lands at Frieze, Maison Margiela Futures are back, and more – the headlines to have on your radar this week.

Jil Sander and PUMA revive the King Avanti sneaker

Courtesy of Jil Sander

After almost three decades, Jil Sander and PUMA have revisited the King Avanti sneaker. We have Simone Bellotti to thank for that, who brought it back shortly after his Jil Sander debut last month. Originally dropping in 1998, the link-up offered a luxury take on PUMA’s football lace-ups, quietly leading the way for high fashion sneaker collabs (which were pretty unheard of back then). With fashion and football’s increasing crossover (seen through designer collaborations with football clubs, top league players landing brand ambassador gigs, and a growing appreciation for vintage football merch), these have arrived right on time. From the iconic tongue flap to the supple navy leather upper, this is the start of a series of collaborations that will see the second instalment release in March 2026. They are available now online and in select Jil Sander stores.

Our Legacy WORK SHOP SPORT enters the activewear conversation

Courtesy of Our Legacy

Having solidified itself in the menswear scene through experimental denim washes, reworks on familiar silhouettes, and material choices, Our Legacy is trying its hand in the activewear game with its new Sport offering, released via its WORK SHOP sublabel. Intended to be worn before, during and after activity, this is the Swedish brand’s new approach to all-day comfort, with versatile options that can seamlessly work into your everyday rotation. Half-zips, Wind Pants and the fan-favourite WORK SHOP Hoodie all feature the emblematic Ying Yang logo, crafted with residual Italian and technical Japanese fabrics. Shop the collection online and at Our Legacy stores.

The Maison Margiela Future sneakers make a comeback

Courtesy of Maison Margiela

If you saw the Future sneakers on the Maison Margiela website and thought you woke up in 2012, you’re not alone. After an online resurgence solicited a reissue from Maison Margiela themselves, the shoes are back in all their glory with a crafted from calfskin with the signature strap that runs across the upper. Whether you’re opting for the stealthy all-black option or the squeaky clean white colourway, the Futures are sure to bring a nostalgic flex to any occasion. Shop these online and in-stores now.

Whether it’s boxy shirting, trousers for the everyday uniform, or the ultimate winter coat, they’ve got it all in abundance. Shop the new capsule here

Supreme taps back in with Number (N)ine

Courtesy of Supreme

After Number (Nine) unveiled a collaboration with Supreme in August, chronically online archive heads finally have the collab they’ve been waiting for. The varsity jacket seen in the lookbook is dropping in red/white and black/green colourways alongside a long-sleeve and trucker cap – all donning Takahiro Miyashita’s famous Mickey Mouse mic motif. The capsule will be dropping on 16th October via the webstore and at flagship Supreme locations.

Prada Mode returns for Frieze London

Courtesy of Prada

Frieze London has officially begun and what better way to kick things off than the new Prada Mode installation at the recently restored Town Hall in Kings Cross. In collaboration with artists Elmgreen & Dragset, the event titled “The Audience” explores the idea of new-age spectatorship. Held in a cinema setting, a blurred film is played on loop while five hyperrealistic sculptures watch on with you. There will also be further talks, conversations, film screenings, DJ sets and performances to keep exploring these themes. The event will be open for the public on 17th to 19th October.

Rick Owens refreshes Dr. Martens’ classics

Courtesy of Owenscorp

Since debuting their partnership in 2021, it’s been all hits, no misses from Rick Owens and Dr. Martens. The combination of an exaggerated Quad sole, bold pentagram lacing system and the British heritage brand’s signature yellow stitching have continued to sell out with each drop and for good reason. As a more affordable and attainable entry into the dark, at times scary Rick Owens world, this might be your best bet. This trio of Quad boots include the toweringly high cut 1B60 Pentalace boots, the returning 1460 Megalace boots and the more traditional Steel Toe Quad boots – all adorned with the extended geometric tongue and waxy Republic leather. These will be available on 16th October via both brands’ webstore and at select retailers.

Asics Novalis goes 3D

Courtesy of Asics

Kiko Kostadinov is very good at pushing the innovation envelope. Case and point: a new addition to his Asics line in the form of a 3D-printed mule that’s made for post-run recovery and, well, fashion, of course. Dubbed the Styrax Breeze, the clog is entirely 3D printed using a thick mesh lattice structure for a comfortable, closed-toe ride. This might just be the ultimate steez for a corner shop run or at-home chilling. The shoes are available to buy now online and in select retailers.
