Ed McVey Covers Man About Town Autumn/Winter 2023

“[The Crown] was one of those [shows] that I watched when I was about 18 or 19, and I remember thinking, ‘That’s what I want to do. That’s the show I want to be part of.’ But then I knew that the main characters were only getting older, and I thought I’d missed the boat before I even got started. So, in a very self-righteous way, it feels like I have come full circle.” 

Star-making moments have beckoned for several of the burgeoning acting talents who have passed through Royal Family drama behemoth The Crown’s ranks. And now, taking the helm as Prince William in the show’s sixth and final season, Ed McVey looks set only to follow that trend. Covering our Autumn/Winter 2023 issue, he talks stepping into the regal role, his journey from a farm in Devon to the international spotlight and why he’d like to throw himself into a grittier role next.
